I hold regular coffee afternoons in Barking and Dagenham where you can come and discuss any problems you think I might be able to help you with. People come and see me about a whole range of issues, such as housing, benefits or anti-social behaviour in their neighbourhood. I never make promises I can’t deliver, but I will always stand up for you and fight your corner to the best of my ability.
The best way to raise an issue with me or to find out the details of my next Coffee Afternoon, is to email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call my office on 0208 594 1333.
If you want to write to me the address is: Office of Margaret Hodge MP, Barking Learning Centre, 2 Town Square, Barking, Essex, IG11 7NB.
I would be grateful if you could first check that I am your Member of Parliament by typing your postcode into the search bar on this webpage: http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/. Parliamentary protocol dictates that I can only assist those who live in the constituency I serve. Please always include your full name and postal address when you email me as I am unable to make any enquiries without this.
Please note that as a Member of Parliament there are some things that I cannot assist with:
I am unable to intervene in legal matters and cannot provide legal advice.
I am also unable to intervene in an employment matter and would always refer constituents to a trade union or solicitor.
Finally I am unable to get involved in a dispute between neighbours.
