I am asking you to join me in petitioning the Mayor of London to extend the No.5 to Romford bus route to stop directly outside Queen’s Hospital. People in Barking and Dagenham get a raw deal when it comes to transport and access to health services, and it is completely unacceptable that so many residents struggle to get to their hospital appointments or to visit friend and relatives because there is no direct bus route. If you sprain your ankle or your child bumps their head, you may not need an ambulance but you want to get to the hospital as quickly and easily as possible.
I am delighted to say that thanks to our campaign, Transport for London are now proposing that the number 5 bus be diverted to Queen’s hospital.
